My monthly orthodontic appointment was scheduled early yesterday at 8:40 am but I was running late when I arrived the site. As I edged closer to the mysterious blue building, the loud howling noise of the familiar fire alarm screamed danger; in this case it was false. It has apparently been ringing for ten minutes when I have arrived but it continued it's tantrum for a dozen or so more minutes even when the firefighters arrived to shut off the alarm. Regardless of how long or short the wait was, I was still late. As the line grew for the wait for the elevator, I decided that the stairs was the fastest way to get to the six floor. Tens of stares clocking at almost up to a hundred, six floors, and two small paper cups of cold mineral water later, I was at my chair and sat on it for a whole hour.
The next event after the appointment was to get breakfast; I was craving a breakfast sandwich from McD's. After that I decided to get a haircut. I waited for maybe 15 minutes before it was my turn. The end result was fine; long in the front, short in the side and back.
After my haircut, I went to Bestbuy/Futureshop to buy Wii Play. I was pretty dissapointed b/c it was no where to be found. I looked around and asked why it isn't in stock since the poster board outside says 14/2 for Wii Play. Apparently Futureshop is the real deal; some sort of future store where they sell stuff before they should actually have to. Regardless, I was still able to buy it at Toys R Us because it appears that their shipment of Wii Play has just arrived. I also saw that they have new component cables; it wasn't the official Nintendo ones or the really expensive ones at BB/FS. I asked for the price of the Mad Catz component cables and it was 25 dollars. I was like score but i decided that I wasn't going to buy it because it wasn't part of my plan that day. However, as i walked out of the store with Wii Play on hand something clicked, I guess I didn't want to waste my time by talking another trip back to T'R'S for the cables. I went back and bought the cables with some shame.
I guess the worst part of the day was the travel, which is pretty normal. When I arrived home, hooked up everything from cables/DVD players/surround sound/speakers and the Wii to my TV because my mom fucked around with the placement of the living room. Then she decided to put back everything to they're original place. I was left to put back all of the electronics together.
